We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer to join our R&D team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Development:
- Contribute to the design and development of robotic systems integrating precision mechanisms, electronic components, and software.
- Develop electronic hardware and program microcontroller firmware.
- Prepare manufacturing records to produce prototypes and products.
- Collaborate with existing subcontractors and identify new ones.
- Find solutions to manufacture products according to the company's cost and quality criteria.
- Build functional prototypes to conduct feasibility tests.
- Testing and Quality:
- Design and implement characterization tests for the solutions developed.
- Run product qualifications and analyze the root causes of failures and compliance with industry standards.
- Project management:
- Define specifications and schedule for product development projects.
- Write technical specifications.
- Coordinate progress of internal and external project stakeholders.
- Manage and document projects according to hardware engineering development processes.
- Technical Expert:
- Coach junior engineers and interns.
- Increase the company’s expertise in the field of high precision robotics.
- Identify, document and report technical innovations.
To succeed in this position, you will need the following experience and skills:
- MSc degree in microengineering, robotics, or equivalent with strong knowledge of electronics.
- 5+ years prior industrial experience in similar position.
- Demonstrated skills in the development and production of complex electronic circuits and subassemblies including analog and digital electronics.
- Recent professional usage of CAD tools for electronic design (Altium).
- Software development experience for microcontrollers (C, C++).
- Project management responsibilities.
- Professional proficiency in English (C1 level). French is a plus (main language spoken in the company).
Ideally, you also have experience with:
- Piezoelectric actuators
- High vacuum applications
- Scanning electron microscopy
- Semiconductor test equipment
