Regional Security Director EMEA
The Regional Security Director will oversee all security operations across the region, ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and facilities. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Security (CSO) and WREF, this role is responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and programs. The position ensures continuous, effective security coverage and aligns regional security initiatives with organizational goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Security Management – Lead and manage security operations, crisis response, and risk mitigation programs. Develop and implement security processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Situational Awareness & Training – Design and deliver threat awareness programs and ensure compliance through security training initiatives.
- Risk and Threat Assessments – Conduct regular physical and supply chain security assessments, provide recommendations, and implement corrective actions.
- Crisis Management – Lead emergency response planning, manage critical incidents, and oversee post-event analysis and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement – Establish performance metrics, conduct benchmarking, and implement improvement plans.
- Investigations & Compliance – Oversee investigations into security breaches, collaborate with law enforcement, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Develop relationships with external security experts and law enforcement agencies to strengthen security posture and intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in security, Security Management, or related field.
- Experience – Minimum 15 years in enterprise security, crisis management, and multi-site operations, with 10+ years in leadership roles.
- Preferred – Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environments, strong understanding of risk management, and regulatory frameworks.

This is an 80-100% on-site role, requiring a strong presence at our Bern facility to ensure comprehensive oversight of security operations.
