Sustainability Project Manager (80-100%)

Description

The Sustainability Project Manager works in the Group Sustainability Team and contributes to the development and implementation of Belimo's groupwide sustainability strategy and program.

What You'll Do

• You will be responsible for developing and implementing Belimo's sustainability strategy, based on the double materiality assessment, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and collaboration with the Team Lead Group Sustainability.

• You are in charge of managing interdisciplinary projects to define measures, targets, and metrics within Belimo's sustainability strategy.

• A further interesting task is to administrate and support Sustainability Steering Committee meetings, ensuring smooth coordination and documentation.

• You will oversee the implementation of Belimo's climate strategy and support decarbonization measures while tracking progress towards climate targets.

• Moreover, you are responsible for annual sustainability reporting requirements, working closely with Group Controlling and Investor Relations to meet standards like GRI, ESRS / CSRD, and EU Taxonomy.

• You will support the submission and improvement of ESG ratings and monitor the regulatory landscape, translating legislation into actionable plans to ensure compliance.

• Last but not least, you will support the communication of the sustainability strategy, roadmap, and projects, collaborating with communication teams to engage stakeholders effectively.

Who You Are

• You hold a degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field (BSc or MSc), paired with a couple of years of professional experience in a comparable position. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work across all organizational levels, make you a persuasive and effective collaborator.

• You have expertise in sustainability reporting and are well-versed in international reporting standards such as GRI, ESRS / CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and TCFD / IFRS S1/S2.

• Demonstrated knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting and decarbonization strategies enhances your ability to lead impactful initiatives; familiarity with life cycle assessments, environmental product declarations, and Ecodesign / ESPR is a plus.

• Your project management and leadership abilities enable you to successfully manage interdisciplinary, global teams and drive progress.

• A structured, autonomous work style and multitasking skills, combined with resilience under pressure, ensure consistent and high-quality results.

• Broad IT user experience, alongside an analytical mindset and sense of responsibility, supports your efficiency and reliability in tackling complex tasks.
