Field Service Engineer

Positrigo is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our growing technical service team. This role will be instrumental in providing remote and onsite support for our innovative brain PET systems. Further, you will support and train our European and USA distributors and help them deliver scalable technical service. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Technical Service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction through timely and effective service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, acceptance testing, and commissioning of our medical devices at customer sites
  • Conduct routine testing, maintenance, and preventive service activities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware and software issues both remotely and onsite
  • Execute updates, upgrades, and hardware replacements as needed
  • Document all service activities, maintaining accurate records
  • Assist in the development and improvement of service procedures
  • Provide technical support and training to distributors and service partners
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality and production teams to provide feedback for product improvements
  • Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as required

Required qualifications:

  • Customer focus with the ability to create and sustain trust and relationships
  • Higher education (e.g. Bachelor’s) degree in engineering, biomedical, field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the field service, specifically within a regulated industry
  • Understanding of electromechanical (medical) devices
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Independent, flexible, team-oriented and professional way of working
  • Willingness to travel (possibly up to 50%)
  • Eligible for traveling to the USA

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in, e.g. radiology, radio-therapy, or nuclear medical equipment
  • Knowledge of German, written and spoken
  • Knowledge of IT systems, knowledge of hospital interfaces and transport protocols (DICOM, HL7, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with medical device regulations

You are an engaged personality, used to work proactively and with precision – on your own and in a team – and you are passionate about your work. You enjoy broadening your horizon in order to master new technologies and like to expand your skills continuously. Your profile is complemented by a good knowledge of English and, ideally, German.
