Mechatronics Design Research Engineer (80-100%)

Shape the next generation of actuators and sensors for innovative HVAC solutions!
In this role, you will combine creativity with technical excellence: developing new concepts, designing functional prototypes, and identifying trends that will shape our products and the building automation industry of tomorrow. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, suppliers, and research partners, you will help create sustainable, market-leading solutions - from the first concept through to successful implementation.

• Develop an understanding of HVAC applications and identify market and customer needs

• Create innovative concept ideas for actuators and sensors in interdisciplinary teams

• Mechanical design of actuators and sensors during the concept phase

• Build mock-ups and functional prototypes for verification and validation

• Identify market and technology trends inside and outside the industry

• Collaborate with suppliers, universities, and internal business lines

• Lead exploration projects

• Strive to make good solutions even better

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Applied Sciences or equivalent)

• Several years of experience in designing plastic and metal components for appliance construction

• Mechatronic know-how, ideally with experience in drive technology and gearbox design

• Experience in the concept phase and plastic part design

• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and convincingly

• Passion for creating new solutions and developing innovative approaches

• Openness to changing requirements and the ability to respond with agility and creativity

• Team player with experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
