Layout Designer & Component Engineer (80-100%)
Shape the Future of Our eCAD Landscape!
As a Layout Designer, you create high-quality PCB layouts and act as a creative key partner for our electronics development team. You work closely with the component team or take responsibility for selecting new components and creating precise footprints and symbols. With your expertise in maintaining and managing PLM data, you make a significant contribution to the efficiency, quality, and reproducibility of our development and manufacturing processes.
- Create cost-efficient layouts based on specifications using Altium Designer
- Provide internal support and advice on technical questions related to PCB manufacturing
- Maintain component libraries, PCBs, and PCBAs in the PLM system and Altium Designer
- Update and manage production data in Altium and the PLM system
- Collaborate closely with developers, component specialists, and the mechanical department to clarify details
- Configure and maintain the eCAD infrastructure
- Train new employees on specific tools (locally and internationally)
- Contribute to and implement process improvements related to data collection and maintenance, as well as the design and handling of associated tasks
- Technical education in electrical engineering (TS, HF, or higher)
- Solid knowledge of electronics development and PCB design
- Interest in and understanding of databases and data maintenance
- Structured, precise, and independent work style
- Strong self-organization and high quality awareness
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Experience with Altium Designer or Altium 365 migration is a plus
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) is an advantage
- Fluent English at C-level; German skills are a plus
