Support Engineer Analytical Instruments
Swan is an international SME situated in Zurich Highlands, which develops and produces high-quality measuring instruments for the online water analysis. We employ 350 people at 15 locations worldwide and are known for our high quality in a wide range of industries such as drinking and wastewater, power generation, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, cooling water and ultrapure water as well as steam and condensate.
Our Support Team is the point of contact between headquarters and our international sales and service teams.You will support our subsidiaries and distribution partners with technical and application-related questions concerning our analytical instruments. To strengthen our experienced team, we are looking for a technically skilled, communicative, and solution-oriented professional.
- Completed technical apprenticeship or higher technical education (HF/FH or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
- Ideally, experience as a Service Engineer or Support Engineer in the field of analytical instruments or measurement technology.
- Solid chemistry knowledge, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- A customer-focused mindset combined with a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
- The ability and enthusiasm to communicate technical topics clearly and deliver technical training.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis (approximately 10%).
- You support our service and sales teams with technical questions relating to our measuring devices (by phone, email and occasionally also directly at the customer's premises).
- You analyse feedback from first-level support and provide application-related troubleshooting based on analytical measurement principles, water chemistry, and process analysis.
- You work closely with other departments to find solutions to the more challenging technical issues.
- You conduct technical training sessions for our sales and service staff as well as customers.
- You create and maintain training materials and practical instructions for fault diagnosis.
- Occasionally, you will also conduct tests on new devices and prototypes at our premises or on-site.
