Junior Data Analyst

Formed in 1921, the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) is the governing body for all international events in Jumping, Dressage and Para Dressage, Eventing, Driving and Para Driving, Endurance and Vaulting. It establishes the regulations and approves equestrian programmes for Championships, Continental and Regional Games as well as the Olympic & Paralympic Games.

FEI promotes equestrianism in all its forms and encourages the development of the FEI equestrian disciplines throughout the world, keeping the welfare of the horse at the heart of all activities.

Today, the FEI has more than 130 members of National Federations and there are over 4,300 international events annually, including a number of FEI Championships and global FEI series. Over 120,000 athletes and horses are registered and women and men compete as equals.

Over 100 FEI staff are working in FEI’s Headquarters in Lausanne, ensuring the sport continues to grow and flourish, the rules are enforced, the results are processed, the international calendar is managed, and that the very values that are at the core of equestrian sport are safeguarded and promoted.

Equipass is one of the FEI's flagship digital initiatives, advancing horse welfare, transparency and innovation for the benefit of horses, athletes and the wider equestrian community. Developed in close collaboration with the International Horse Sports Confederation (IHSC) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), Equipass reflects a shared commitment to advancing equine welfare and strengthening traceability standards worldwide.

The FEI is looking for a Junior Data Analyst for a 1-year fixed termwith the possibility of extension. You will exclusively work on the Equine Digital Passport project in close collaboration with the FEI Technology Operations Department. The position’s activity rate is 100% and the location is Lausanne, Switzerland. This position is available as of 1 September 2026 or upon agreement.

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to support the Equipass team in transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to grow within an international, mission-driven organisation. The data analyst will work closely with the Digital Passport Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean and structure data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Produce regular reports, dashboards and visualisations to support business development & decisions.
  • Assist in maintaining data quality and consistency across systems.
  • Collaborate with DEV ops tools (GIT, Jira, CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Support the publication and management of datasets in Open Data formats.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses in response to team and stakeholder requests.
  • Contribute to documentation of data processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with technical and business colleagues to understand data needs.
  • Participate and facilitate workshops with stakeholders.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent.
  • Initial experience up to 3 years (internship or first role) in data analysis.
  • Proficiency with data tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, GIT) and software languages (R, JSON, Python- Pandas).
  • Experience in organisations working with Open Data or data for research formats is desired. (visualisation, pipelines).
  • Ability to present data and technology topics in an accessible way.
  • Service-oriented, attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A strong interest and knowledge in equestrian sport is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential. French, German, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian is a plus.
