We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Planning Manager to lead our dynamic team in successfully executing the monthly and weekly planning process, with a focus on short term mid-term plans and long-term horizons.

Supply Planning Manager, AMP-E (f/m/d)

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be adept at driving constructive discussions with manufacturing teams, managing stakeholders in the mid-term planning process, and proactively ensuring collaboration between short-term and mid-term planning for flawless execution. This role demands a strategic thinker who has solid technical background from cans/ends manufacturing, to enable support in long terms footprinting strategies. The candidate can set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the entire planning cycles while fostering cross-functional teamwork. Additionally candiate must have experience with canning industry products specificities including seasonal profile.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic footprint:
Assess and analyze existing plant footprints to identify inbalance in between demand and supply or opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Evaluate new market trends and geographical areas for potential expansion.
Develop strategies for optimizing distribution and production networks.

Planning Cycles Leadership:
Lead the coordination of the team to successfully complete the monthly, weekly planning process, 
Drive constructive discussions with

  1. manufacturing and engeneering teams to obtain essential inputs for the planning process.
  2. develop solid relationship with the SPD teams to understand the impact of the plan to the capacity and possible schedule impoorvements
  3. understand demand inputs and the changes from cycle to cycle
  4. develop strong relationship with S&D teams to enable full planning cycle orchestration

Stakeholder Management:
Manage other stakeholders involved in the planning processes,e.g. procurement, finance, demand etc. ensuring smooth collaboration and addressing any challenges that may arise.
Collaborate within the team and with other departments to ensure all aspects of the planning cycle are actioned within the cross-functional team.

Execution and Monitoring:
Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the planning cycle to ensure timely and accurate planning inputs for the planning processes.
Actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) process, taking responsibility for signing off on the supply plan.

Performance Accountability:
Manage planning deliverables, ensuring a cost and service balanced supply plan.
Be accountable for service, inventory, and cost-to-serve metrics, actively monitoring and addressing any outperformance.
Drive continuous improvement within the planning processes and actively participate in improvement projects related to planning processes and tools.

Process Improvement and Standardization:
Focus on process improvement and standardization specifically in the planning process.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall effectiveness in the supply planning process.
Work closely with relevant teams to implement standardized processes and best practices.

Team Development and Succession:
Develop and manage the team, focusing on skill enhancement and succession planning.
Act as a mentor to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Reporting and Organization Structure:
Report directly to the Supply Planning Director, providing regular updates on key performance indicators, challenges, and strategic initiatives.Be an integral part of the central planning organization, contributing to the overall planning strategy and collaborating with other planning teams.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Min. 4+ Year relevant experience in supply planning within canning industry. 
  • Must have SAP IBP multi-year experience
  • Must understand the cans and/or ends factories set ups, enabling good sparing position for the strategy development
  • Must understand cand and/or ends product specificities including seasonal aspect of the business
  • Must have canning industry experience
  • Proven experience in Network planning, mid-term and long-term planning.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or engineering.
  • Leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in supply chain practices.
  • Experience in collaboration across the organisation
