Our client is a leading flexible packaging producer based in Zug.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director - Packaging to lead their expansion. This is a senior-level role that requires a strong leader with a hands-on approach, capable of managing remote sales teams, setting strategic direction, and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the sales team (10+ FTEs), ensuring performance targets are met and exceeded.
• Develop and implement a sales strategy to expand market presence and increase revenue.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing remote sales team across multiple countries.
• Identify new business opportunities, build relationships, and negotiate high-value deals.
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to drive long-term growth.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to senior management.
• Willingness to travel frequently to engage with clients, teams, and key stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in sales in the packaging industry, with a focus on flexible packaging, consumer packaging, and food packaging.
• Strong ability to set and execute sales strategies, drive revenue, and scale operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing remote sales teams across multiple regions.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A results-driven mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively as required.
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
• CH/EU national or an existing working permit for Switzerland.
