We are supporting a leading Swiss energy and infrastructure company in the search for an experienced Senior Expert – Algo Trading Architecture.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the target architecture of a strategic algorithmic trading platform within a complex and highly regulated trading environment.

Position: Senior Expert – Algo Trading Architecture

Location: Bern, with home office possibility

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Your responsibilities

• Design and consolidate the end-to-end architecture of the algorithmic trading platform across signal generation, execution and trade capture
• Define and document solution architecture to support key business and technology decisions
• Clarify and structure business and technical requirements with multiple stakeholders
• Drive architectural decision-making within a complex systems landscape
• Ensure governance, auditability and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare architecture documentation and decision-ready materials for key project milestones
• Collaborate closely with Trading, IT, Enterprise Architecture and external partners

Your profile

• Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing or integrating algorithmic trading platforms
• Strong end-to-end understanding of algorithmic trading processes and system architecture
• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments
• Ability to make well-founded architectural decisions in ambiguous and evolving situations
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements within trading environments (e.g. MiFID)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent English is required; German and/or French are considered an advantage
