The Competence Center Data & Analytics focusses on solving complex business problems using Generative AI and Machine Learning. Your ambition is to use (Generative) AI to optimize our business across the insurance value chain. Current projects are Call Center Automation, Underwriting, Complex Claims Handling and many more.
As an Expert Engineer, you will shape our solutions for automating the email/document channel, where we already deployed several agents in various lines of business at AXA CH. You will not only implement specific use cases but also work across teams with peers to shape and ensure standards and work on the Agentic Layer.

Your contribution
- Lead the design and implementation of GenAI applications using advanced software engineering practices with a strong emphasis on agentic workflows
- Setting high-level developer standards and provide stable operations incl. standards, security and regulatory compliance
- Analyze technical trends in the field and drive innovation and make sure the application is eventually running smoothly
- Participate or lead knowledge exchanges within the local AXA (Gen)AI Community
- Effective communication with different stakeholders to drive user adoption
Your capabilities and talents
- Master or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Machine Learning or Math
- Minimum 5 years of expertise in developing and deploying AI solutions
- Proven expertise on building agentic workflows
- You have experience in understanding a business challenge, designing solution approaches, and transforming them into tangible, measurable value together with a team
- Experience in the principles of GenAI (e.g. Context Engineering, CoT, Agents) and GenAI Frameworks (e.g. LangChain/LangGraph)
- Good understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques
- Strong experience in DevOps (Git Flow)
- High proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in working with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in developing and integrating (REST/SOAP) APIs to enable seamless communication with internal systems and services, with a good understanding of concepts like proxies, firewalls, gateways, and secure API communication

- Good communication skills, ability to present ideas and explain technical topics in non-technical terms
- Able to multi-task and work in an agile cross-functional project team
- Passionate about generating business value and drive the user adoption
- You have a proactive and can-do mindset with a great curiosity for new concepts and ideas
- You speak fluent English and are willing to learn German
