Your responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret next-generation sequencing (NGS) data from patients.
- Perform quality control checks on sequencing data and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Assist in generating reports for clinicians summarizing findings from NGS analyses.
- Maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines for genomic and transcriptomics data processing, analysis and interpretation.
- Stay updated on emerging bioinformatics tools and methods relevant to clinical genomics.
- Collaborate and communicate with non-computational stakeholders to provide actionable insights from analyses.
Your profile
- Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational sciences or a related field (0-2 years of experience)
- Experience with common bioinformatics tools, Git and programming languages such as Python, R, or Bash
- Understanding of (cancer) biology, human genetics, variant interpretation (e.g., ACMG guidelines)
- Previous experience in bioinformatics (internships or academic projects welcome)
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and interest and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
