Network & Security Engineer IT-OT

 Overview

 Industry 4.0, (I)IoT, Cloud, Security, and digitalization - the convergence of IT and OT (Operational Technology) is rapidly progressing. At SKAN, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to IT-OT projects in an international environment. In our newly established IT-OT team, you will provide network and security services, particularly in qualified/validated environments.

 Responsibilities

• Plan and implement complex IT-OT projects in industrial settings

• In a fast-growing company, you will take on leadership and responsibility for exciting sub-projects to elevate and maintain SKAN's IT-OT network and security infrastructure at a highly professional level

• In close collaboration with internal and external partners, you will handle error analysis and troubleshooting (2nd and 3rd level support)

• To maintain high standards, you will manage the environment under change management and be responsible for operating manuals and documentation

• You will ensure compliance with strict qualification/validation requirements for the base infrastructure, conduct system tests, and document them

Hardskills

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification

• Excellent knowledge of designing, building, operating, and troubleshooting company-wide IT-OT network and security infrastructures (with a focus on current Cisco and Palo Alto technologies)

• Practical experience in implementing business requirements for IT-OT infrastructures, as well as project experience in SMEs and/or the pharmaceutical industry

• Several years of professional experience in IT-OT network and security; you have supplemented your foundational training with additional qualifications/certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Palo PCNSE)

• Practical knowledge of business analysis, requirements engineering, and computer system validation

• ITIL certification and demonstrable knowledge of CSV are mandatory

• Additional training in project management is an advantage

• Very good knowledge of German and English is a must
