R&D Engineer 100% (m/f)

This makes your workday varied:

  • As a R&D Engineer, you will lead the development and optimization of innovative processes and next generation products in the field of powder metallurgy.
  • You assess and explore novel concepts and methods to improve the production methods for our advanced, high-performance cemented carbides.
  • Lead and support industrialization of new products and technologies
  • You analyse material properties with respect to microstructure, crystallography, and material chemistry in relation to processing routes.
  • Design, testing and introduction of innovative and productive manufacturing processes products and measurement technology with a key focus on quality, performance, and yield.
  • Management and/or supervision of strategical investments and projects to ensure continues development.

What you bring:

  • You will ideally have a Phd or master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, materials science, metallurgy and/or powder processing and characterization. Whilst experience from cemented carbide material production or development is advantageous, it is not a definitive requirement for this position.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to resolve issues and innovate where required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot problems and advise on solutions.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office tools.
  • Drive collaborations with industry and university partners
