Senior Backup Engineer

We are looking on behalf of one of our clients
based in Basel for a Senior Backup Engineer. 
This is a permanent on-site role.

As Senior Backup Engineer, you'll be responsible for the administration and
monitoring of the enterprise backup environment, supporting critical systems
for the business.

Your Responsibilities

• Support backup & restore
  operational activities
• Collaborate on the design and execution of
  disaster recovery tests
• Implement monitoring and automation for backup
  and restore operations
• Contribute to the evolution of the backup
  infrastructure, including modernization of legacy systems and migration
  projects
• Assist the infrastructure team, including
  participation in on-call service

Your Profile

• Higher education in Computer Science
  (University/FH)
• 3-5+ years of practical experience in backup
  management, engineering, and enterprise backup solutions
• Solid knowledge of SAN storage, Linux, and
  Windows environments, with specific expertise in data recovery exercises and
  Disaster Recovery Plans
• Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat) and UNIX-based
  systems; strong affinity for automation
• ITIL and/or TOGAF certifications are an
  advantage
• Hands-on professional with strong analytical
  and problem-solving skills, able to prioritize effectively and take full
  ownership of tasks
• Team player with strong work ethic, integrity,
  and high accountability
• Fluent English required; German and/or French
  is a plus
