We are seeking a motivated, open minded and experienced person as:
As proposal manager you’ll be responsible to ensure the timely delivery of customer proposals. You will be responsible for drafting these proposals outlining projects, based on a customer Request-for-Proposal (RfP) and make sure the content and timelines are aligned with the different functions involved. You can translate technical info into a clear and understandable language, and subsequently transform that into an attractive proposal. This role will offer substantial responsibility and a high degree of creative freedom within the established proposal guidelines. The successful candidate will be crucial in creating project-winning contracts and continuously improving the process aiming at optimizing the process of proposal generation. You will be an integral part of the Commercial team at Bacthera and report directly to the Senior Business Development Manager.

- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or related field (Pharma, Medicine, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in in the biotech, pharmaceutical and/or CDMO industry
- Experience in a start-up environment is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Additional language skills are a big plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project,...).
- Capable of managing multiple projects independently.
- Ability to work with different teams in a multi-site setup.
- Innovative and creative thinker.
- Strong eye for detail combined with a sense of urgency for delivery.
- Critical view on existing processes and flair for proactive process optimization
My main tasks will be…
- Set up and manage the proposal process outgoing customer RfPs.
- Stakeholder management throughout the proposal writing process ensuring alignment between the different functions on scope and timelines.
- Timely delivery of complete, structured, and well-designed proposals to customers.
- Engage in the general functioning of the Commercial team by joining team meetings, workshops, brainstorming sessions, etc.
- Contribute to the upkeep of internal templates and tools used to streamline new proposal generation, as well as monitoring progress and deliverables of the team
