You will participate in the firmware development of next generation high-speed X-ray cameras with frame rates of several kHz. These cameras are able to produce several tens of GBytes per second of data. Therefore, the focus will be on firmware development for data readout in the detector and online processing in FPGA boards inside the data backend server. You will develop and test firmware in collaboration with the other firmware engineers and physicists in the group. You will also be involved in the development of the necessary firmware and software interfaces. As our group philosophy relies on a strong teamwork, you will be able to get an insight in many aspects of detector development, from the design of the individual components of the detector to the pilot experiments at X-ray facilities.
Our institution is based on an interdisciplinary, innovative and dynamic collaboration. You will profit from a systematic training on the job, in addition to personal development possibilities and our pronounced vocational training culture. If you wish to optimally combine work and family life or other personal interests, we are able to support you with our modern employment conditions and the on-site infrastructure.
Your initial employment contract is for 3 years, with the possibility of extension.
