Drive Engineering & Supply Chain Innovation in High-Tech Manufacturing!

Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for technical project management, supply chain development, and hands-on problem-solving? Do you want to shape the manufacturing of complex components while actively working on their design and production processes?

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (80-100%), Medical Devices (Lyss, Switzerland)

As a Senior Project Engineer at Precipart, you will take ownership of end-to-end technical projects, from prototyping to full-scale production. You won’t just manage projects - you’ll design, optimize, and implement engineering solutions. Your role will focus on both engineering excellence and supply chain development, ensuring that complex components and assemblies meet the highest manufacturing and quality standards.

If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy combining technical expertise with strategic execution, this is the opportunity for you!

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute engineering projects in precision manufacturing, from initial concept through production ramp-up.
  • Develop and optimize supply chains, selecting and working closely with suppliers to ensure efficient and scalable production.
  • Own the engineering process, including design-for-manufacturing (DFM), material selection, and production techniques.
  • Review and create technical drawings (including GD&T) and ensure manufacturability in collaboration with production teams.
  • Work closely with customers to translate their requirements into engineered solutions that meet performance, cost, and quality goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (manufacturing, quality, procurement) to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Solve technical challenges in machining, additive manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design, process efficiency, and supply chain optimization.
  • Travel occasionally to meet customers, suppliers, and production sites globally.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Microtechnology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing is a must; additional experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing is also valuable.
  • Strong background in hands-on engineering - you enjoy solving practical design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and process design. Experience in precision machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks) and ability to create and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Experience in supply chain management - working with suppliers, negotiating capabilities, and optimizing production logistics.
  • Self-starter mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

What We Offer:

  • A hands-on engineering role with real impact, where you drive both technical and operational success.
  • A dynamic, fast-growing company with cutting-edge projects in high-precision manufacturing.
  • A collaborative work environment with direct access to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities.
