Associate Director, Clinical Trial and Site delivery lead (Ref. 2456)

For our client, a well-known global pharmaceutical leader located in western Switzerland, we are looking for a highly motivated:

Your main tasks

• Oversee the delivery and quality of clinical site activities
• Serve as the primary contact between Clinical Site Leads (CSLs), global teams, and CROs
• Drive data-driven planning and operational strategies at the site and study level
• Lead CSL activities and ensure adherence to performance metrics
• Facilitate issue resolution and escalate risks as necessary
• Implement operational excellence strategies to enhance study delivery
• Ensure consistent communication and collaboration between sites and stakeholders
• Support recruitment and retention strategies for clinical studies
• Manage site and country-level performance with internal and external partners
• Ensure timely study execution, aligning with diversity and inclusion objectives
• Provide strategic oversight of process improvement initiatives

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medical or Life Sciences or equivalent, with 10+ years of clinical research experience
• Extensive clinical operations experience, including study planning and site management
• Strong, assertive personality with the ability to drive complex, top priority projects forward and achieve excellence
• Deep understanding of clinical development principles, regulatory guidelines (ICH GCP), and regional/local regulations
• Preferred experience in Oncology, Neurology, and/or Immunology therapeutic areas
• 10+ years of project management experience in clinical research within CRO, pharma, or biotech
• Strong interpersonal skills: adaptability, communication, critical thinking, and strategic leadership
• Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions
• Proficient in risk assessment, problem-solving, and analytical tools for improving study execution
