To fulfill a project at our client in Basel in the life science industry we are looking for a

• Main Tasks
   * Migrate the complete application server landscape from datacenter A to datacenter B
   * Database Installation/Migration
   * (Re)publish applications on new webservers or Citrix/RDS
  
• Migration Execution:
   * Coordinating and executing the migration of applications, data, and services to the new infrastructure.
   * Ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations during the migration process.
   * Implementing necessary changes and configurations to ensure the applications function correctly in the new environment.
  
• Testing and Validation:
   * Conducting thorough testing to ensure the migrated applications are functioning as expected.
   * Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise during testing.
   * Validating the performance, security, and reliability of the applications in the new infrastructure.
  
  
• Documentation and Training:
   * Document the entire migration process, including any changes made to the applications or infrastructure.
   * Provide training and support to the relevant teams to ensure they are familiar with the new environment and any changes made.
  
  
• Ongoing Support and Optimization:
   * Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the migrated applications.
   * Monitor the performance of the applications and make necessary optimizations to ensure they continue to meet business requirements.

• Technical Expertise
   * Database Administration: MS SQL Server, Oracle DB (also legacy versions)
   * Web & Application Servers: MS IIS, Apache Webserver
   * Application Publishing: Citrix Virtual Apps, MS Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
   * Networking & Security: Understanding of secure network configurations
   * Automation & Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages for automating administrative tasks
   * English (must) and German/French (added value)
  
• Soft Skills & Other Requirements
   * Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 regulated systems (eg. GxP)
   * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
   * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
   * Effective communication and documentation skills
