Welcome to our exciting Geospatial Content Solutions business (GCS), a division of Hexagon. GCS designs and develops revolutionary technologies built to enhance solutions in aerial data acquisition, processing, and DaaS content.

You will be part of a small, but highly specialized R&D team, where we jointly develop cutting-edge technology in all aspects from high-speed electronics designs, precise optics and mechanics and challenging software.

Electronic Design Engineer (f/m/d)


This appeals to you

  • Design and prototype analog and digital circuits for optoelectronic signal processing, fast AD/DA converters, multi gigabit communication links and protocols
  • Provide schematics and coordinate production process from layout reviews to production-ready PCBs
  • Design embedded firmware applications for MCUs in C/C++/C# and FPGAs in VHDL
  • Analyze measurement data for prototyping, characterization and debugging purposes
  • Get involved in bring-up and testing/certifying of subassemblies as well as entire systems
  • Get involved in improving and maintaining the lab equipment and infrastructure
  • Cooperate with the team and coordinate one or more external partners to achieve project goals
  • Take the responsibility for subsystems and entire products throughout their lifecycle


This is you

  • Higher education or university degree (BSc, MSc) in electrical engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with designing high speed hardware and embedded firmware
  • Proficiency in simulating electric circuits using LTspice or similar software
  • Automate measurement setups and analyze data using Matlab/Python
  • Collaborate with the team using GIT, Jira, Confluence tools and scrum/agile methodology
  • Skilled in building testbenches with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators or logic analysers
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English
