For our client, a leading and innovative pharmaceutical company with its Swiss subsidiary based in the Zug/Switzerland area, we are searching for a:
Senior Manager Patient Safety / Pharmacovigilance – temporary contract (12 months), 80 – 100% pensum (Ref. 2543)
As Pharmacovigilance Specialist, you will perform core PV activities for the Swiss subsidiary Business Unit Hematology / Oncology. You will act in compliance with applicable local regulations and internal procedures, operating independently with minimal supervision. In addition, you will act as Deputy of the Local Pharmacovigilance Responsible Person, as defined by national regulatory requirements.
Your main tasks
- Maintain risk management plans and safety documentation
- Provide safety information to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure PV audit and inspection readiness
- Prepare and submit aggregate and individual case safety reports to authorities and ethics committees
- Support local PV training and awareness initiatives
- Implement and manage pharmacovigilance agreements
- Handle adverse event case intake from various sources (e.g. spontaneous, literature, post-marketing)
- Ensure high data quality in local safety systems
Your profile
- University degree preferably with life sciences or nursing qualification
- 5–7 years’ experience in pharmacovigilance in the pharmaceutical industry or experience within medical, clinical or regulatory affairs positions
- Independently working, taking on responsibility
- Strong organizational skills and collaboration in cross-functional teams
- Very open, clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid knowledge of PV regulations (e.g. ICH, GVP, CIOMS) and safety systems
- Proactive in identifying safety issues and contributing to risk management
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Compliance-driven and supportive team player
- Fluent English knowledge; some German would be a plus
