We're seeking a talented Technical Team Lead (TTL) to provide technical leadership for software development within our Analytics Team. You'll be responsible for the technical direction of our data and analytics platform, working in close collaboration with the Product Owner, data engineers, and the offshore team. Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining modern data infrastructure, pipelines, BI solutions, and supporting machine learning initiatives to advance our telemedicine services. 

Your tasks

Technical Delivery & Data Platform Leadership: 

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data platform solutions and cutting-edge analytics products, leveraging technologies like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and dbt to drive impactful business solutions. This includes overseeing robust ETL/ELT processes, advanced data models, and ensuring data integrity and accessibility. 
• Champion code quality, data visualization, and platform excellence, implementing automated testing, deployment, monitoring practices, and collaborating with Data Engineers and Digital Analysts to create insightful Power BI dashboards. 

Team Leadership, Collaboration & Mentorship: 

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a distributed SCRUM team (onshore/offshore), fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative environment. 
• Support critical solution architecture decisions, conduct thorough technical reviews, and work collaboratively with the Product Owner, DevOps engineers, architects, TTLs of other products, and compliance teams to ensure alignment, success, and the delivery of high-quality data and BI products. 

Offshore Coordination & Delivery Optimization: 

• Provide daily coordination and technical guidance to our dedicated offshore development team in Vietnam, ensuring seamless integration, adherence to standards, and consistent quality. 
• Build efficient and well-documented delivery processes with our offshore partner, optimizing workflow, communication, and the timely delivery of solutions. 

Quality Assurance, Data Security & Governance: 

• Ensure the highest levels of data quality, system performance, scalability, and reliability, proactively optimizing the platform to meet growing business demands. 
• Support the implementation of data governance and security measures, protecting sensitive data, ensuring compliance, and maintaining the consistency and integrity of the analytics platform. Implement and manage a centralized data catalogue, promoting data discoverability and governance. 

Your profile

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or in a similar role. 
• A solid track record of successfully leading data and analytics projects from inception to completion. 
• Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. 

Deep Expertise in:

• Data Visualization: Mastery of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, enabling you to create compelling and insightful dashboards. 
• Data Transformation: Strong proficiency in data transformation tools (e.g., dbt) for cleaning, shaping, and preparing data for analysis. 
• Cloud Data Platforms: Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery), enabling you to design and build scalable and reliable data solutions. 
• Programming Skills: Solid proficiency in Python and SQL, essential for data manipulation, automation, and analysis. 

Essential Skills: 

• Structured Approach: A highly structured, solution-oriented, and proactive working style. 
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken (German is a plus). 
• Education: A university degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.  

Bonus Points: 

• Azure Cloud: Experience with Azure cloud services, especially Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps. 
• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and Docker. 
• Advanced Concepts: Working knowledge of concepts such as Data Vault, MLOps, Data Governance, and Data Privacy. 
• Global Collaboration: Experience working effectively with international and offshore teams.
