AliveDx is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control department based in Eysins, Switzerland. This is a full-time and permanent position with a shift pattern (2*8: morning and afternoon/early evening).

Laboratory Technician

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician reporting to the Department Leader, Quality Control, with 2-5 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment to perform routine and specialized QC testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. The successful candidate will ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

As part of this team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • QC Testing: Perform routine testing of incoming materials, intermediates, and finished products using methods such as pH, TOC, conductivity, Nanodrop, SDS-PAGE, and MosaiQ equipment.
  • Microbiology & Environmental Monitoring: Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials (including utilities such as purified water) and in-process controls; perform viable and non-viable environmental monitoring in controlled/classified areas.
  • Solution & Buffer Preparation: Prepare solutions and buffers as requested, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Record all test data in compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP); prepare reports, including monthly environmental monitoring trends; manage the full lifecycle of samples (receiving, testing, archiving).
  • Compliance & Investigations: Support investigations (OOS, CC), review and update procedures, and ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Laboratory Support: Maintain stock, manage samples/reagents, calibrate and qualify equipment, perform cleaning, scanning, archiving, and EMS checks to sustain a state of readiness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in implementing measures for process optimization and efficiency.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all defined health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as reasonably assigned to support laboratory operations.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 2–5 years of QC laboratory experience in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or related environment.
  • Proficiency with QC testing methods (pH, TOC, conductivity, SDS-PAGE, Nanodrop) and microbiological/environmental monitoring techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in French and ideally English.
