Our Schaffhausen campus in Switzerland is a key hub for pharmaceutical manufacturing and global supply chain operations.
We are seeking a technically skilled and people focused Facilities Manager to lead our asset management & maintenance team within the facilities management organization on campus. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and stakeholder management skills and has experience with CMMS systems and electronic documentation systems. This role leads a team of professionals and technicians and will be part of the Facilities management leadership team on campus.
Facilities Asset Management
Responsible for a robust asset management process for facility asset on campus, including asset replacement plan, risk assessments and global reporting.
Maintenance Strategy
Manage and optimize preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance for all facilities assets, leveraging advanced asset technology for optimal performance and lifecycle management.
Work Management & Optimization Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of work management processes, including work order planning, scheduling, execution and tracking to ensure efficiency and accountability.
Facilities Compliance & Safety Maintain adherence to all relevant regulatory standards, safety protocols and environmental requirements. Act as the FM subject matter expert for external & internal audits and inspections.
Maintenance Reliability & Fundamentals Apply principles of maintenance reliability, such as root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), to improve asset dependability and reduce downtime.
Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor and develop a team of facilities professionals. Foster a proactive safety
culture and promote continuous learning within the team. You are responsible for the employees who work within the team. You must provide an inclusive work environment where each person must be considered as an individual. You ensure continuous development of your employees in various disciplines, both soft and hard skills.
System & Data Management Own CMMS master data processes and building/equipment documentation management systems (SAP and Meridian). Responsible to implement the BIM strategy for the campus.
Budget & Performance Metrics Develop and manage budgets, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement initiatives that drive operational improvements.
Key Relationships Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and our partners. Create customer centric processes to ensure stakeholder needs are met.
Who you are — minimum qualifications ??
University degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or comparable qualification.
Minimum of 6 years of related business experience in facilities/asset management or similar environment.
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
Strong organization, communication and influencing skills — able to create alignment and move teams toward shared goals.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks and meet tight deadlines with a positive attitude.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office; ??? experience preferred).
Solid analytical skills to identify gaps and root causes and develop practical, out-of-the-box solutions.
Project management experience and familiarity with equipment documentation systems are preferred.
Strong passion for people leadership and development with demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence colleagues across local and global teams.
Clear understanding of and alignment with J&J Credo values.
Nice to have (preferred)
Experience with Meridian or other documentation management tools.
Formal training or experience in lean methodology / continuous improvement.
Schaffhausen campus, Switzerland — primarily on site, with up to two remote days per week.
Limited travel required.
