To further strengthen the IMCD API global structure based in Basel, we are looking for a colleague with immediate effect to take over the position as Technical Support Manager API (f/m/d) 80-100% that will shape and drive the future of the business globally for pharmaceuticals together with us. The incumbent reports directly to the BU Manager International API with a functional reporting to the Director of Technical Support API & Pharma Compliance.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • The role combines two aspects: the Technical Support to Regions (TSR-API), which entails addressing any Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance needs that arise in the assigned region (EMEA), and the Technical Support to Manufacturers (TSM-API), which involves acting as the central point of contact for Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance issues pertaining to the assigned API-manufacturers
  • Supporting the business group Pharma in the implementation of its strategic goals
  • Establishing proactively a personal network with the Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance teams of the primary regionally assigned API-customers and designated API-manufacturers
  • Autonomously processing and prioritizing of API-customer and API-manufacturer requests
  • Assisting the regionally assigned customers in their registration of the API distributed by IMCD
  • Leading investigation of significant non-conformities and returns related to API for the regionally assigned customers, together with the concerned local HSEQ teams
  • Supporting the business unit Pharma, Global Pharma Compliance and local HSEQ teams in proposal, revision and negotiation of Quality Agreements and CDAs with the regionally assigned API-customers and act as a strong point of contact for the designated API-manufacturers
  • Coordinating, preparing and occasionally attending the GDP audits of the regionally assigned API-customers to the IMCD sites. Coordinating the GMP audits of the regionally assigned API-customers to the designated API-manufacturers

Your competencies and qualities:

  • Education in the areas of Chemistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary or Biology
  • Several years of professional experience in Regulatory Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably from the API-perspective)
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical sector (GMP or GDP)
  • Knowledge of Swiss legislation and regulations relating to medicinal products (preferably)
  • A team player with the ability to work autonomously, setting priorities in a fast-paced environment and having strong organizational skills
  • Communicative, convincing and open personality with an independent, structured and quality-conscious way of working
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools and ERP tools
  • Fluent in English and German languages required, spoken and written
