The Hexagon Technology Center (HTC) is our central R&D organisation. HTC drives the evaluation and introduction of new technologies to our partners. - Performing feasibility studies to investigate opportunities in the fields of geospatial mapping and surveying
- Contributing to the development of disruptive products like the Leica RTC360, BLK360, BLK3D, BLK2GO and
BLK2FLY - Developing real-time capable navigation algorithms fusing image data with other sensors such as IMU, LiDAR, and GNSS
- Prototyping of software modules and evaluation on real-world computer-vision problems
- Working together with various teams from different divisions within Hexagon
This is you
- A relevant university qualification (Master / Ph.D.) in engineering or computer science with focus on computer vision, mobile robotics or photogrammetry
- Theoretical understanding and practical experience with SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) / SfM (Structure From Motion)
- Knowledge of state estimation based on fusion of different sensor inputs, e.g., camera, LiDAR, IMU, GNSS, etc.
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in this field
- Proficiency in software development using languages like C++ and Python
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an international team with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong inter-disciplinary communication and cooperation skills
- English written and spoken, German beneficial
