Summary:
The Product Design and Application Expert is part of the sustaining team reporting to the Sustaining & Expertise Team Leader in the EMS (Engineering, Manufacturing and Sustaining) Department. The role focuses on the technical expertise in general and especially on the Gutor product lines (UPS systems). It supports the departments like Sales and Project Execution in evaluating technical requests and is evaluating Special Releases (SR). It is supporting test bay in trouble shooting activities and mentoring the tester pool in the test bay. It takes the responsibility for internal sustaining projects by executing or supporting them
Your responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge about electrical engineering of systems
- Expert function regarding system design
- Evaluation and release of Special Releases (SR**)
- Test bay support and mentoring the tester pool in test bay
- Lead and support small to mid-size internal sustaining projects
- Internal ISO 9001/45001/14001 auditor
- Subject matter expert for dedicated commodities (General system design, Distribution Panel, ArcFlash)
- Feasibility, cost and technical review of non standardized system types and special options
Knowledge And Skills – Required
- Sound knowledge of Gutor UPS products electrical and mechanical
- Sound knowledge of power electronics
- Project management skills (theory and tools)
Knowledge And Skills – Desired But Not Essential
- Quality process knowledge
Your qualifications:
- You have an electrical engineering education (4-year apprenticeship or equivalent) or a degree
- You already have initial work experience in an electrical engineering position with experience in measuring, testing and/or troubleshooting electrical equipment
- You have excellent communication skills and a good command of English (written and spoken) - other languages are an advantage
- You are familiar with power electronics, transformers and capacitors as well as hazards and risks related to electricity
- Your computer skills and MS Office knowledge are well developed
- You are motivated, have a high degree of initiative and like to use your energy in identifying and solving problems
